Entry Requirements

A Higher Certificate /Diploma/Advanced Diploma qualification directly related to one of the specific programme disciplines, (such as Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Business, Digital Marketing, Digital Media, Graphics etc.), or

A major award (ordinary degree) or higher in a discipline not directly related to, but sharing aptitudes and skill sets with, one of the specific programme occupational roles

Applicants without a major award qualification but with significant work experience related to one of the programme disciplines may also be considered.  Applicants who do not meet the minimum entry requirements but have significant experience will be considered for entry through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

An interview or aptitude test may also be required if deemed necessary by the admissions board. All applicants must provide: Transcripts of examinations, diplomas, certificates and awards and an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the qualification recognised in my country?

Yes, our programmes are recognised worldwide. Our programmes are accredited by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), a member of the European University Association. DIT has a long and proud tradition of combining the academic excellence of a traditional university with career-focused learning.  

Are the 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits awarded by the programme internationally recognised?

The 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits awarded by the programmes are internationally recognised. This in effect means that the qualification can sit within international grading scales, recognised internationally by academic institutions.

How much time do I need to give to the programme?

There is a minimum of 8 hours a week online learning time required on our programmes. 

In addition to these online teaching and online team-meeting hours, participants are expected to undertake readings, research and project work.

What language is the programme conducted in?

Our programmes are taught in English, the international language of technology and business.

Is it possible to hold down a full time job and do the programme at the same time?

Absolutely. Our programme has been designed for people in full time employment.

How does the “Recognition of Prior Learning” (RPL) work?

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is a process which acknowledges, and gives value to both formal and informal learning achieved prior to registering for our programme. Prior learning may be a result of successful participation in a formal learning programme for which you were awarded certification.

Prior learning may also be an outcome of non-formal or informal learning achieved through work, voluntary activities or private study, for which you may not have a certificate.
